Tree trimming + site prep

Getting the yard ready for the tiny house build has meant a lot of tree trimming – we’ll be nestling our trailer under a hundred-year old chestnut tree, and wanted to take the opportunity while the land is still clear to trim any branches that will interfere with our solar window or be potential hazards in the future. Upside, we’ve got stacks if firewood drying for future backyard campfires and tiny house wood fires.

Trimming the tree doubly benefits our planned hybrid wood-solar hot water system, which will be heated by a jacket around the stovepipe in the winter and solar in the summer.
