Timelapse: finishing the outdoor shower enclosure

We finished building the outdoor shower enclosure today. This whole project has been really gratifying because it essentially built itself around the frame requirements to support the solar hot water collector which will form the roof of the shower area. Such a perfect way to get rid of leftover beams, siding and miscellaneous scraps of outdoor and pressure-treated wood. It was almost a surprise how something with so little design intention ended up looking so good!

All the beams are screwed together with structural screws and the privacy panels are freestanding with a hinge connecting them at the corner. This makes the entire deck and outdoor shower disassemble-able and movable. I am seriously considering building a tiny Japanese soaking tub to complete the space…
